Monk Damaskenos writes to the Greek Prime Minister

A monk from the "Holy Mountain" of Athos wrote a letter to the Greek Prime Minister. What is interesting, is how the real Christians still think, if this is the right word to use. They still believe that Human Rights are a curse and inspired by the Devil.
Although Orthodox Christians confess that the best solution for the Church of the East was the subjugation to the Ottomans, they claim the rescue of Hellenism, however they confess they approve only of the transmuted one as they call it themselves, and as if they played an active role in the Greek Revolution, which cannot be true of course.
He salutes the Prime Minister as His Excellency.
He says that it was a mistake for Greece to enter the EEC and remain in the EU and in the Eurozone, because of the sell and the spiritual, cultural and economical alteration. What he doesn't say is how much did the Church itsself profit from the EEC, for example the subsidisation of its so called charity work?
He writes about Hellenism all the time, although this word is synonym with Paganism. He writes as if the Greek Orthodox Church saved the Hellenic Civilisation, instead of destroying it, however later he will speak about the transmuted Hellenism.
Then he writes that Tsipras is the first leader after Julian who isn't a Christian and he should know how the Emperor endet. The word 'end' by the way is linked to some news about rates Greeks have to pay. Four hundred years of Ottoman rule, surely he doesn't include the Sultans as leaders? Of course not, the leaders were the Patriarchs of Constantinople. They had power under the Ottoman rule like never before. The Christian Emperors intervened in all matters, the Sultans just wanted the taxes and let the Patriarchs rule over the 'Romans' the Greek Orthodox, including Romanians, Arabs, Serbs, Bulgarians, 'Macedonians', Turks(Gagauz), Albanians and Georgians.
According to him the Greek Prime Minister didn't solve the economical problems, because of his pride against JHWH. He doesn't say, why all the predecessors failed as well. Between Julian and Tsipras they all should have been superb rulers, shouldn't they? The first Citizen of Greece, the President of the Republic is a very devout Christian, doesn't that help a little?
The Prime Minister should have sacrificed himself for his ideals. Which ones, the atheistic and bolshevistic? How should have he sacrificed himself? As a Prime Minister he won't be affected. Maybe he thinks he should have resigned and let an ultra Christian in his place, then it would be raining euros, dollars and pounds. This is the very problem of the Greek people, they expect a Messiah with supernatural powers and they will keep voting, until they find one. Well King Midas is dead and I have never heard of another one.
Joining the EEC was the biggest mistake of the New Hellenism. He writes new with small, but later he will write about the transmutation of Hellenism to New Hellenism or better New Romanity.
It was a mistake, because even the Ancients weren't Atheists and he quotes Plutarch. Plutarch however preferred atheists to superstitious. The first missed the beauty of the World, but the latter are dangerous.
Then he mentions the Transmutation of Hellenism to Orthodoxy. What was left was superficially Hellenic.
The State, the Roman Empire, becomes Christian. No Philosophy, no Art, no Science, no Sports.
The Republic is a Christian Republic and the West since Charlemagne till today envies it. The East Roman Empire ceased to exist since 1453, I don't know what the West should be jealous about...
The Franks captured Constantinople in 1204 and led to the dissolution of the Empire. He mentions the Battle of Manzikert, where the Seljuq Turks defeated the Byzantines in 1071, probably he thinks that the Empire would have recovered.
Then by writing that the Ottomans involuntarily saved Hellenism, the Transmuted One, from the absorption  by the West, he reveals that the Church cannot be looked upon as a Saviour for Hellenism, because the Transmuted Hellenism thrived under Ottoman Rule. It was Real Hellenism which suffered. More important is that the Church was against a Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Rule. Many revolutionaries appeared as Christians for reasons of diplomacy, when dealing with the Foreign Powers.
The Catholic Church was bad, the Renaissance superficial and atheistic. Did he prefer a total Renaissance, a religious, the polytheistic one, as well?
Then came the Protestants, then the Edict of Nantes, which separated religious from civil unity. The Europeans and their institutions are corrupt. Are the schismatic Catholics, as he calls them, good or not?
His and the Greek Church's problems with the EU are that adultery stopped being penalised, civil wedding and abortions.
That what he calls pseudoreligions are permitted to exist for the first time since Constantine the Roman Emperor. He appeals to the Constitution, although the Constitution doesn't say other religions are forbidden. He probably doesn't know that the Constitution is easy to find in the Internet, or the last one he read is that of the Dictatorship. He thinks that Constitution is something above human rights. The Constitutions says that the Church of Greece has to follow that of Constantinople, but many monks criticise the Patriarch, because he has contact to other religions.
He wants Greece to continue its greek speaking Byzantine civilisation, not the true Hellenic one.
Now, that homosexual weddings are permitted, he is afraid that a punishment will arrive as in Sodom and Gomorrha. However I don't think they married according to the myth and anyway he lives in Athos and nothing has happened to the place yet.

He sees diversity as an illusion. He thinks, that instead all should be christianised; he calls it freeing from demons and love for man; the same love shown by crusaders, Inquisition etc. He calls Europe's peace, pseudopeace. Probably peace for him is butchering in the name of Christ. True freedom and true peace exists under the Church as in Medieval times.
He thinks that Greece's problem lies that we have supermarkets instead of groceries, that foreigners did the unskilled work, and that some people gave up the cultivation of olive trees for other plants. The only thing that Greece is exporting sufficiently is olive oil, but the monk doesn't know that. He talks about the sale of State property like any Communist.
Than he wants to inform the Prime Minister about the causes of the fall of the Byzantine Empire for some reason. He complains about the lack of Christian Values in the Empire. He doesn't say which are the values and how come when all the Emperors were devout Christians. All were Christians and if not they were mutilated and executed. He says the Emperors were incompetent; didn't JHWH help them, they were so pious, what does JHWH expect more? The bad Franks, since Charlemagne. The Italian States, because they were free to trade, the taxes upon Syria, Palestine and Egypt which convinced the inhabitants become Muslim, the mercenaries and a couple of herecies. The problem with Syria, Palestine and Egypt was older and it began by the disintegration of the Roman Empire. Even as pagans the Syrians tried to form a new State. That is why there were some Christian enclaves there, thats why Constantine tried to form a new Rome and new Romans, but forming a new nation the Christian nation proved to be a bad idea. He forgets that the Church always became large amounts of wealth. Empire means many nations and after abolishing their ethnicity, people didn't have anything to fight for. There were half a million monks sitting idle in the monasteries by the time of the fifteenth century and none to defend Constantinople.
He then says that the Church prevented the islamisation of the Greek people. Islam respects Christianity and Judaism, and the Sultan wanted the taxes. One cannot see something as a salvation and a threat the same time.
He talks about the Greek revolutionaries which freed Greece and appeals to their beliefs. He admits indirectly, that the Church didn't wish a modern Hellenic State or a revolution of any kind, because it would be inspired by the godless in their opinion West and French Revolution in particular. The revolutionaries weren't Christians, but were inspired by Greeks living abroad who were influenced by the Enlightment and the French Revolution. However, it was the time of the Holy Alliance, so they had to pretend they were Christians of a noble descent trying to be freed by a culturless Muslim tyrann and that inspired a philhellenic movement in Europe. The Revolutionaries called themselves Hellenes and the noncombatant Greeks Romans.
He further sees as compulsory for members of the Parliament and Goverment to take an oath to Christianity, although that hasn't helped very much.
A relic of the Dark Ages, these monks are seen as the mouths of JHWH, although they are mostly illiterate. They learn some texts by heart as Communist do as well, so many people think they have read a lot. Talking against their nonsense is considered blasphemy and treason.

The Monotheistic Feeling

How many feel that the man in the photo is not Adam, but themselves?

Furby is the Antichrist!

What the Greek Orthodox priest is saying can be summarised as follows:
"Furby has a whole Devil inside him. If children come in touch him they will be possessed. There is a whole Hell in that toy. They are forty million furbies. There is prostitution in him, because he will tell the children to do this and that. It speaks and repeats whatever it hears."
I don't know if the priest believed the rumour that furbies record and repeat whatever they hear, but surely this is a very low level speech. By the way he calls his flock, sheep using the modern Greek word. He cannot claim he speaks the words of a god.

And although it was in Greek, now no one can hear anything so here is the same video as presented by a greek comedy show.

Theocrats in panic against Julian the Crowned Philosopher

On the 3rd of October this year, there was a presentation of the Theology on Nations and Ethnarch Gods of Julian the Crowned Philosopher. Text and video here.

One week later it was published in the internet, facebook and sites. There is a site, I don't how formal which wants to serve as a portal for Greek education. Two weeks after the speech there was an older article which made its way to the portal. First published for a magazine of the Church on 14 December 2013, a theologian posted it on his blog on the 17th of October 2015 and was automatically published on the mentioned portal.

The article is full of false information, which leads to contradictions. It wants to prove that the Greek Church saved the Greek language, otherwise in Greece a Roman would have prevailed. For example it claims that Diocletian had forbidden the use of the Greek language in 284 CE, that three quarters or two thirds of the Greeks who were already Christians maintained the Greek language, because the Bible was written in it, but the Greek "idolaters" learned Latin in order to have a career. So the pagan Romans tolerated Greek, even the non Roman Emperors before Diocletian did, but the Christian non Greek Emperors did not even though the Bible was in Greek. Herakleios who made Greek an official language in 610 CE was an Armenian, why did he do the opposite thing?

Even Christian Priests admit that Christians were about 5% at the time of Constantine and his sons.

I have never read an article where a person is called a psychopath all the time instead of his name. One will talk about Nero, Caligula, Hitler, Stalin and use their names despite one's feelings or opinion, but not the author about Julian.

Didn't they have anything better to present?

Here is an edict of Diocletian in 301 CE in Greek and Latin.

About the Languages of the Roman Empire here.

The article I am writing about is here and then here.

And he is a teacher...

So we have a teacher who teaches Greek and Ancient Greek at secondary level, saying that we "Newidolaters"  became Heathens, because we are attracted by the nudity of the sculptures and by mythology. Then he informs us, only the Gods could have much sex, not the humans.
Then instead of using the science of Philology, he speaks as a Christian Apologet of the first centuries. He speaks of the Sibyls using the Sibylline Oracles instead of the Sibylline Books, although he must know that the Oracles where written by Jews and Christians. The Saviour of Prometheus is Heracles and not Jesus Christ. His interpretation of Mythology is that of illiterate monks.
So even if pupils don't attend the lesson of Religion, there are teachers of Greek who fill in the gap.

The Patriarch of Antioch points out the difference!

The Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch said that they as Patriarchate of Antioch and as Syria and Lebanon are fond of the Hellenic people and have a good relationship with the Greek state and Church. He added that they as well are Romioi, one family, one folk.

So Arabs and Greek are both Romioi (Romans), because they belong to the Eastern Church. So Hellenism and Romanity is not the same thing.

Useless and hypocritical

Papafeio is an orphanage in Greece, named after the donator who wanted that Greek Orthodox male orphans would serve an apprenticeship, so they could earn a living as adults without becoming criminals. The head of the orphanage would be the Bishop of Thessaloniki.
2012 a seven year old boy was raped by a thirteen year old. The victim informed the following morning the social worker of the establishment, she informed her superiors and nothing happened. They did ask the attorney, who had sent the violator to the establishment, to take him back because he had a delinquent behaviour and that is all. The boy had to raped twice again, be brought to a hospital and than people where obliged to do something.
The bishop said that everything is perfect with the establishment, the minors are sometimes very difficult.
It looks as if no one can do a job right and the only thing they do is take the money from the state for their "superb" work.
If the children are orphans one way or the other, the personnel should be like fathers and mothers to them. The bishop did not hire the adequate persons to do the job.

The Greek Church and Language

The Archbishop of Greece playacted as the defender of the Greek language. However Christianity was never interested in the Greek language, because Christians didn't feel as a part of the classical world. They used the common Greek of that time and not Attic or the Epic. The Christian Emperors used Latin as their official language, although in the East Greek was spoken.
The Church did not educate the people in anything language included. Whereas the Germanic and Celtic nations had to give up their Runic and Ogham scriptures in favour of the Latin one, for the Slavs a special alphabet was made, in order to avoid that the Slavs used the Greek one.
Even the very language was called Romaic and not Hellenic until some decades ago. The defence of the language was the denial of translating the Bible into modern Greek. Now every official translation of the Bible has to be authorised by the Church in Greece and Turkey and that is stated in the Greek Constitution.
So the so called defence of the language, is the right of the Church to be unintelligible to the common people.

Greek Archbishop calls for Christian Orthodox Jihad against the West

After this incident, Archbishop Hieronymus gave a speech to the other priests and talked about enemies who are "within the walls". He named Europeans ironically "our friends the Europeans" and the Greeks who want Greece to become like any western European Country "our friends here". He says that both want to take advantage of the horrible economic situation in Greece and will try by all means to alter the Greek society, beginning with the school education. It is tragic, said he, that not only some foreigners far and away want this, but also enemies from within. "We can see it and scent it".
Churchgoers believe that those who are not baptised in the orthodox way, stink.
He said that there are commitments and plans, which are vividly whispered, to alter the society and foremost to the underestimation of their history and traditions, to the 'entfundamenting' of family, to the infliction of perversity, to the further degradation of the language and the contumely of the many centuries old civilisation, their fatherland, their 'holies' and 'sacred', and by that case the 'Hierarchy' (the celibates), the clergy and the folk will become bulwarks and fortresses.
Than he quoted a person who lived at the time of the Greek Revolution of 1821 and is known only due to his memoirs. "Frankia doesn't want us with that dress the orthodox". Frankia is the West, but only fanatics use this word.
Having said all these he then said that the political parties should converse with the Church honestly and reliably and quit 'bracketations' and ideologies and Church and State should take care of people's problems with consistency, calmness and perseverance. He then said that the Church will never be trapped into letting its sanctifying work be separated from the philanthropic one.

So the Archbishop feels he is superior to any institution and can intimidate the Government, the House of Commons, everybody. He still thinks with the terms of the Great Schism of the 11th century. He dreams of a society which until the abolition of the latest dictatorship, Greece was terrorised by the State and the Church, the latest version being the priest and the policeman.
He talks about history although people in Greece, until the 20th century, believed that the 'Ellenedes' were other people who lived in Greece before the arrival of Christ and Mary and were killed by God and some thought that their descendants were the 'mylords' who excavated the ancient Greek monuments and never crossed themselves. He talks about traditions although the Church destroys real traditions and then lets people think falsely that their habits are Christian Tradition, although Christian Tradition has to do with Church Books like the other Gospels.
He talks about family, although the priests turn parents against children, wife against man and brother against sister, if somebody is not a churchgoer.
He talks about perversity and it would be interesting what he means by that; maybe homosexuality, although it is said that the higher ranks are up to 90% homosexuals? There are continuously scandals about child abuse and sexual harassment in Greece as well as in USA.
He talks about centuries old civilisation and probably he dates from the Great Schism of  the 11th century, because he doesn't use the word millennia, a word broadly used in Greece.
He speaks about fatherland, although in the Christian Orthodox Tradition as formulated by Cosmas the Aetolian and repeated by all ranks of clergy, fatherlands are false and the true fatherland is the kingdom of Yahweh. He talks about fortresses and bulwarks, but not against what. He quotes a man who is called a general, but never did anything important and he praised only because he used the demotic language.
He then said that they should abolish the ideas of democracy, freedom and the ideas established by the French Revolution and Church and State should govern together probably with a Constitution similar to that of Iran, or anyway it will be interpreted this way.
The Church will continue to control every aspect of life, that is meant by sanctification and become a lot of money from the individuals and take a whole lot of money from the State, that is meant by philanthropy. The only philanthropy of the Greek Church are the meals which are soups made of what is donated by churchgoing shop owners, usually rice or noodles and the people cooking them and organising them, do it for free or in order to save their souls.
Nobody needs the Church. It is the duty of the state to take care of its citizens.

Orthodox Tradition by Monks and by People

Common Greeks come in contact with religion by their parents. They learn to worship God, Jesus and Mary. They teach them to "love Mary" and Jesus and God. They go to Church to light up a candle and they get baptised and have a godfather who gives them clothes and a candle at Easter. They call it Orthodox Tradition.
Monks and priests and theologians, when they talk about Orthodox Tradition they mean the Fathers of the Church, the various Monks that have produced literature and not the common people.
Of course there is no Orthodox Tradition. What the Greeks think as tradition is a totally mutilated one.
The Hellenes wouldn't convert to the State Religion of Christianity even after 150 and 200 years it was made compulsory by Theodosius A. The fathers pretended to be Christians and the wifes and children remained Hellenes. The problem was solved by inventing the institution of the godfathers. A christian priest or officer would select a name for the children, baptise them and be responsible for their christian upbringing.
The Hellenes would not stop visiting the temples, so they were modified to churches and the saint honoured depended to which God the temple was formely dedicated. To stop them from offering flowers and fruits on the Altar Stone, they were lured to light up candles at the candlelabrum at the entrance, away from the Altar Stone, there were the not fully integrated stay. In their houses they burn oil candles in the corners, instead of the big fire in the middle where the family and the servants would gather and eat. However they were never successful incorporating Carnival, although they still try.

Plato and the other Christian or Neoatheist philosophers!

Presocratics, Socrates, Plato, Aristoteles, the Sophists, Epicurus and all the others were raised with Homer and Hesiod and Orpheus and Mousaios and many other poets. Heresy then had the meaning of opinion and through urbanisation some people had gained new aspects of life and consequently about religion as well. Those who remained in the more traditional ways of life, maintained the traditional aspects. As there are different opinions about politics, the philosophers had different opinions from each other and the traditional poets about religion, but they all attended the same festivals. They were all participants of one way of thinking. Monotheists and all modern ideologies are part of the other way of thinking.

Day and Night

Night and Day

In many mythologies is said that the Ancients didn't associate day and night with solar light. The same is by the way with the Old Testament, but I will take this book out of my consideration. Of course the Ancients saw that it was day when they saw the sun in the sky and night when he wasn't. They had the habit of using and interpreting things of higher intellectual level with symbols from the everyday life. So there is not only a day and night in our material world but also in the higher worlds. One can see life as a day which came out of a night, that means we don't see where it came from. So Day being the daughter of the Night makes more sense as the following stage of a previous one. The same with Knowledge; one is in the Dark and then slowly comes Enlightment.

Ionian Philosophers

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

Presocratic Philosophy

Hesiod and Homer and other poets spoke about the Gods. The Presocratics and the Ancient Philosophers searched from what they as well as the whole, are made off. It is wrong to forget that Hesiod uses the means of poetry and to interpret his poems as if they were mere reports. That humans don't know everything about nature, doesn't mean that something is supranatural. In order to understand the ancient way of thinking, which is totally different from the modern monotheistic one, one has to consult the last of the Ancients the Neoplatonists. They were the first who were confronted with the other way of thinking, the one which defined itsself "the upside down". They explained logically what the Ancients perceived.
