Well, these rags still look ugly!

Yes, rags with signature is high class style nowadays. However they were tried on Ancient Greek Sculptures and they didn't look any better. Rags are rags. Fashion and clothing industry has to sell, so they must find something new every year; so that one can show his good income and present himself with each collection of the last years. However with such a demand in quantity, quality does suffer heavily.

Was this the best they could do to promote their stuff? The best they could do, they cannot do any better that.

Christianity conquered Heathen Europe. The Dark Ages came. When Europeans decided to read the remaining ancient scriptures, Rennaisance came. When they followed these ideas further, there came the Age of Enlightment. Last century it was decided to abandon the classical world. Fascism, Marxism-Leninism and the 'need' to 'grow' appeared. Not only to grow, but to grow always faster, with a higher rate. The merchants became philosophers and artists, and the philososphers and artists, merchants; and all of them just gamble. Cornelius Castoriades noticed that between 1400 and 1925 there was every 5 years a first class productive genius in Europe; and between 1925 and 1975 there was none.

A Christian Writer and opponent of Hellenism, invented a story to defame the "rival" God Dionysos. He doesn't say where he heard such a myth and as a Christian he doesn't have the abililties to be inspired to utter new myths.

Bisexual or true fidelity?
There are a myth involving a homoerotic relationship with Ampelos, a sweet youth, and Prosymnos, his guide to the realm of Hades. When Dionysos goes to Hades to retrieve his mother, Semele, to bring her to Olympus, he meets Prosymnos on the way. According to Arthur Evans in his book The God of Ecstasy, Christian writer Clement of Alexandria reports:

Dionysos wanted to descend to Hades but did not know the way. A certain Prosymnos promised to show him for a price. The price was indecent but not for Dionysos. The price he asked of Dionysos was a sexual favor. (Evans 34)

Upon his return from the underworld, Dionysos can’t locate Prosymnos because he has died and instead has sex with a wooden dildo made from the branch of a fig tree in order to pay his due to his guide.

Now everyone should see what was the real debate here. The bishops really argued if one should spit at loosers and sinners or not. The meek bishop will not tolerate any politician, who voted in favour of the Cohabitation Contract in his area.

A reactionary Anarchist!

Against the Contract of Cohabitation which was extended to people of the same sex, were the Church, the Nazis, many Conservatives and the Stalinists. The above man is a comedian, who is admired by people who identify themselves as anarchists or  broad-minded. I was taken aback when in the second video, which is in Greek without subtitles, he said that he despises people who choose civil to religious ceremonies. He says that Greek Orthodox Christianity is folk civilisation, which of course this statement shows his total ignorance. In the first video, which is again in Greek without subtitles, he says that homosexuals shouldn't have such rights, because if someone chooses to rebel against common beliefs and norms that way, one shouldn't on the other hand seek approval by the 'policeman and priest'. Exactly what all the other said, but in a more polite way. The priests said that homosexuals should keep their homosexuality to themselves; like 90% of the clergy.

Why is Germany so tough on Greece? Look back 25 years!

Source

Every drama needs a great baddie, and in the latest act of the Greek crisis Wolfgang Schäuble, the 72-year-old German finance minister, has emerged as the standout villain: critics see him as a ruthless technocrat who strong-armed an entire country and now plans to strip it of its assets. One part of the bailout deal in particular has scandalised many Europeans: the proposed creation of a fund designated to cherrypick €50bn (£35bn) worth of Greek public assets and privatise them to pay the country’s debts. But the key to understanding Germany’s strategy is that for Schäuble there is nothing new about any of this.

It was 25 years ago, during the summer of 1990, that Schäuble led the West German delegation negotiating the terms of the unification with formerly communist East Germany. A doctor of law, he was West Germany’s interior minister and one of Chancellor Helmut Kohl’s closest advisers, the go-to guy whenever things got tricky.
The situation in the former GDR was not too dissimilar from that in Greece when Syriza swept to power: East Germans had just held their first free elections in history, only months after the Berlin Wall fell, and some of the delegates from East Berlin dreamed of a new political system, a “third way” between the west’s market economy and the east’s socialist system – while also having no idea how to pay the bills anymore.

The West Germans, on the other side of the table, had the momentum, the money and a plan: everything the state of East Germany owned was to be absorbed by the West German system and then quickly sold to private investors to recoup some of the money East Germany would need in the coming years. In other words: Schäuble and his team wanted collateral.

At that time almost every former communist company, shop or petrol station was owned by the Treuhand, or trust agency – an institution originally thought up by a handful of East German dissidents to stop state-run firms from being sold to West German banks and companies by corrupt communist cadres. The Treuhand’s mission: to turn all the big conglomerates, companies and tiny shops into private firms, so they could be part of a market economy.

Schäuble and his team didn’t care that the dissidents had planned to hand out shares of companies to the East Germans, issued by the Treuhand – a concept that incidentally led to the rise of the oligarchs in Russia. But they liked the idea of a trust fund because it operated outside the government: while technically overseen by the finance ministry, it was publicly perceived as an independent agency. Even before Germany merged into a single state in October 1990, the Treuhand was firmly in West German hands.

Their aim was to privatise as many companies as possible, as soon as possible – and if you were to ask most Germans about the Treuhand today they would say it achieved that objective. It didn’t do so in a way that was popular with the people of East Germany, where the Treuhand quickly became known as the ugly face of capitalism. It did a horrible job in explaining the transformation to shellshocked East Germans who felt overpowered by this strange new agency. To make matters worse, the Treuhand became a hotbed of corruption.

The agency took all the blame for the bleak situation in East Germany. Kohl and Schäuble’s party, the conservative CDU, was re-elected for years to come, while others paid the price: one of the Treuhand’s presidents, Detlev Karsten Rohwedder, was shot and killed by leftwing terrorists. (Schäuble too became the victim of an attack that left him permanently in a wheelchair, only days after German reunification – but his paranoid attacker’s motives were unrelated to the political events)

But the reality of what the Treuhand did is different from the popular perception – and that should be a warning for both Schäuble and the rest of Europe. Selling East Germany’s assets for maximum profit turned out to be more difficult than imagined. Almost all assets of real value – the banks, the energy sector – had already been snapped up by West German companies. Within days of the introduction of the West German mark, the economy in the east completely broke down. Like Greece, it required a massive bailout programme organised by Schäuble’s government, but in secret: they set aside 100bn marks (£35bn) to keep the old East German economy afloat, a figure that became public only years later.

With prices for labour and supplies going through the roof, the already stressed East Germany economy went into freefall and the Treuhand had no chance to sell many of its businesses. After a couple of months it started to close down entire companies, firing thousands of workers. In the end the Treuhand didn’t make any money for the German government at all: it took in a mere €34bn for all the companies in the east combined, losing €105bn.

In reality, the Treuhand became not just a tool for privatisation but a quasi-socialist holding company. It lost billions of marks because it went on paying the wages of many workers in the east and kept some unviable factories alive – a positive aspect usually drowned out in the vilifications of the agency. Because Kohl and, during the summer of 1990, Schäuble weren’t Chicago economists keen on radical experiments but politicians who wanted to be re-elected, they pumped millions into a failing economy. This is where parallels with Greece end: there were political limits to the austerity a government could impose on its own people.

The lesson Schäuble learned – and which is likely to influence his decision-making now – is that if you act the pure-hearted neoliberal you can still get away with decisions that don’t make perfect economic sense. If Schäuble is acting tough with Greece right now, it is because his electorate wants him to act that way; it’s not just that he doesn’t care about the Greek people, he wants people to believe he doesn’t care, because he sees the political advantage in it.

But Schäuble should have learned from history that the Treuhand gamble had catastrophic psychological consequences. Even though the agency was run by Germans, who spoke German, still it was seen by many in the east as an occupying force.

Schäuble’s idea of foreign countries controlling Greek assets and moving them abroad is an even more humiliating concept for any country. Schäuble comes across as a tough and sober accountant. In fact he is just an ordinary politician repeating old mistakes.

"Do not vote the best, vote the pious"

Another bishop telling his flock (that is how they are called by their priests) not to vote for the best, but for the pious. That is 30 per cent of the Greek population. For the politicians it is easier to pretend they are pious, than to prove that they are competent.

German Sharia Police

There is the article from BBC and I went further to the German site of the magazine 'Der Spiegel' to read some more. It reads that the instigator wasn't fully acquitted. He should have enrolled the demonstration and another court had to decide about it. The group was acquitted, because neither did they look like a militant group nor did they have an intimidating appearance. So probably next time they want to play police of some kind, they have to announce it formally, enroll it to the authorities, figure out the starting point, the route and the finish goal, the authorities have to consent, be guarded by real policemen and then they can demostrate what is bothering them anyway they please.
I don't know if the people responsible for this, have such a great sense of humour, the prosecutors who lodged an appeal don't seem to have the same taste of humour.

Yule the Pagan celebration of Winter Solstice

Source

The Pagan celebration of Winter Solstice (also known as Yule) is one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world.

Ancient people were hunters and spent most of their time outdoors. The seasons and weather played a very important part in their lives. Because of this many ancient people had a great reverence for, and even worshipped the sun. The Norsemen of Northern Europe saw the sun as a wheel that changed the seasons. It was from the word for this wheel, houl, that the word yule is thought to have come. At mid-winter the Norsemen lit bonfires, told stories and drank sweet ale.

The ancient Romans also held a festival to celebrate the rebirth of the year. Saturnalia ran for seven days from the 17th of December. It was a time when the ordinary rules were turned upside down. Men dressed as women and masters dressed as servants. The festival also involved decorating houses with greenery, lighting candles, holding processions and giving presents.

The Winter Solstice falls on the shortest day of the year (21st December) and was celebrated in Britain long before the arrival of Christianity. The Druids (Celtic priests) would cut the mistletoe that grew on the oak tree and give it as a blessing. Oaks were seen as sacred and the winter fruit of the mistletoe was a symbol of life in the dark winter months.

It was also the Druids who began the tradition of the yule log. The Celts thought that the sun stood still for twelve days in the middle of winter and during this time a log was lit to conquer the darkness, banish evil spirits and bring luck for the coming year.

Many of these customs are still followed today. They have been incorporated into the Christian and secular celebrations of Christmas.

A monk says at 44:41 that children should before anything else confess. After that 2 fathers of 2 monks are interviewed saying that after their sons had confessed to one priest somewhere, they were sent (advised) to confess to a certain monastery. The second professor seemed to have known everything about them, although they had never met before. Then comes the sign of Madonna, who shows who is the choosen one to be a monk and cannot refuse, because there will no second chance and he will face the wrath of Jahweh.

Some so called moderate like Nikolaus of Mesogaia and Laureotiki and Paulus of Siatista are against it and some who are unknown like Ignatius of Larissa, Paul of Glyfada and Alexander of Mantineia are against the existence of it. Mourning because of a law

A bishop said that the Greek town Aigio had to pass 2 days in mourning, because a law was voted that granted some rights to homosexual pairs. How about paying taxes, so that the Greek State has money to invest, the people get some jobs and gain money for their families? Unemployment and bankruptcy are the problems that young couples face not if some homosexuals want some civil rights.

Greek Archbishop says that only Greek Orthodox are normal!

The people of the Church have a way of life (the Greek Church of course) and whoever doesn't conform with it, is deviating from life.
Furthermore he said the Church isn't interested in what is good for the nation, but the patriots and nationalists and so on, will do as if they didn't hear anything about it.
Then again he suppresses the fact that the Greek Church wanted further subjugation to the Ottoman Empire and quotes wrongly a statement, which most probably has never been uttered. The man who is supposed to have said it couldn't read or write newspapers himself, so most probably he didn't know exactly what he was supposed to have said. Even if there is a correction some days letter, it is difficult to find out.

What will come next, Parthenon maybe?

The Roman August at the time of Tetrarchy Galerius built a temple dedicated to Zeus in Thessaloniki Greece in 311 CE. After a century or more this temple was turned to a Christian Church as it was the policy of the Christian Emperors and especially of Justinian. It is listed as World Monument by UNESCO. The Central Council of Archaeologists, which is under the authority of the Ministry of Civilisation and Sports, decided that a cross should be placed, because it was used as a Church for many centuries. So was Parthenon of Akropolis of Athens by the way, should  a restoration of Parthenon as the Church of Panagia Athiniotissa be awaited? In 1995 a mob of priests and Christian believers stopped a concert by force, destroyed a piano of a musician called Sakis Papadimitriou, because they wanted to turn the monument into a Church. Now the radical left, mayor and ministry have granted the Christian Church a mass once a month. That for the beginning.

In which part of the world may people act, like Greek bishop do?

Recently a Greek actor died and I don't know if it was known while he lived, he was a pair with another male actor. I don't know any actors, so I don't know any gossip. Parallel to this the Greek government is obliged to recognise contracts signed between homosexual pairs. So the actor alive tried to influence the proceedings to go one way, an opposing conservative political advisor, there were some reactions, until a Metropolit chose to intervene. Metropolit of Dimitsana and Aigialeia, Ambrosios Lenis.
He tried to find the worst insults to characterise people, who defend human rights. The advisor made a remark on his facebook page and everybody read it. The same people don't say anything against the archpriest. A representative of the or a community of homosexuals said they were going to sue him; nothing else was said by anyone.
The funny thing is that he said he has sent to the left wing government a book, he says it is profound, about Ancient Greece. The true Christians don't read ancient Greek books, unless they are quoted in a Christian text. The book he has sent is written by an author, who writes about all sorts of conspiracy theories including aliens, supernatural beings and devils, using all kind of forgeries that have existed and interpreting real texts in the most absurd way.
Christians and Marxists use the same trick. They quote ancient Greek texts their very own way, so that they fit to their teaching and so they try to mislead the opponent.

A Greek Bishop’s Anti-Semitic Tirade

A Greek Bishop’s Anti-Semitic Tirade
By Robert Mackey December 22, 2010 1:30 pm December 22, 2010 1:30 pm
Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus.

Updated | 7:19 p.m. Leaders of Greece’s small Jewish community objected on Wednesday to televised remarks by a Greek Orthodox bishop who blamed the country’s financial problems on a conspiracy of Jewish bankers and claimed that the Holocaust was orchestrated by Zionists.

The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece complained to church authorities about the anti-Semitic remarks made by the Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus during an interview on Greek television on Monday, according to a statement (in Greek) on the group’s Web site.*

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported that the bishop “said that there is a conspiracy to enslave Greece and Christian Orthodoxy. He also accused international Zionism of trying to destroy the family unit by promoting one-parent families and same-sex marriages.”

According to the news agency, when the bishop was then asked, “Why do you disagree with Hitler’s policies? If they are doing all this, wasn’t he right in burning them?” he replied: “Adolf Hitler was an instrument of world Zionism and was financed from the renowned Rothschild family with the sole purpose of convincing the Jews to leave the shores of Europe and go to Israel to establish the new Empire.” He added that Jewish bankers like “Rockefeller, Rothschild and Soros control the international banking system that controls globalization.”

Greece’s Jewish community is ancient, but only about 10,000 Greek Jews survived the Holocaust.

The president of the European Jewish Congress, Moshe Kantor, called for the bishop to be fired in a statement sent to reporters on Wednesday. He added: “It is completely unacceptable that someone senior in a mainstream European religious denomination can make such repulsive and hate-filled claims.”

The American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants sent this statement to The Lede:

Holocaust survivors are aghast at the hate-filled remarks of Metropolitan Seraphim and call on the Greek Orthodox hierarchy to remove him from his position. We also demand that the Greek government prosecute him under its laws against incitement to hatred. Greece itself, which suffered grievously under Nazi occupation, is slandered by Metropolitan Seraphim’s bigotry. His remarks constitute a brutal assault on the memory of all Nazi victims, Jew and non-Jew.

Earlier this year, the bishop wrote to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II to demand that Elton John be stripped of his knighthood for telling Parade magazine, “Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man.” The bishop also complained to Britain’s ambassador to Greece about the singer’s “unacceptable and absurd” comment, which, he said, had caused “deep pain and bitterness.”

*Thanks to the reader who sent us a link to video of the complete interview with the bishop from Mega TV in Greece. Even non-speakers of Greek can clearly see the shock on the face of the television host (at about 13 minutes into the interview) when the bishop explained his theory of Zionist complicity in Adolf Hitler’s extermination of the Jews.

Zoroastrian faith returns to Kurdistan in response to ISIS violence

Zoroastrian faith returns to Kurdistan in response to ISIS violence
By Judit Neurink 2/6/2015

SULAIMANI, Kurdistan Region — After over a millennium, the Zoroastrian faith is returning to its original habitat. The Ministry of Religion in the Iraqi Kurdistan capital Erbil has registered the religion, locally known as Zardashti, and suggested to the Kurdish government the ancient faith should be given its own directorate general and its believers be allowed to build new temples.

“Now it’s time,” says Nouri Sharif, one of the initiators of the movement that established a Zoroastrian organization in Europe in 2006 and in March announced in Erbil its official return to Kurdistan. In April, a Supreme Council of Zoroastrians in Kurdistan was founded.

Already active in Iran and India, the movement claims to have some 100,000 followers in Iraqi Kurdistan. This is mainly a reaction to the violence committed by the Islamic State, according to Sharif during an interview in a café in Kurdistan’s second city Sulaimani.

“People see something is imposed on them. They have witnessed suffering from another belief. Now it is the time for our destiny, because we are exhausted. We haven’t seen any good deeds from Daesh, it only gives us death and violence,” he said using Daesh, the Arabic acronym for ISIS.

Zoroastrians follow Zoroaster, also known as Zarathustra or locally as Zardasht, who probably lived in the 6th century BC. He was not a prophet like those known in Islam and Christianity, Sharif stressed.

“He was not sent by God as his representative. He was contemplating existence and the universe. Zardasht was a human being full of wisdom. For me he is a prophet, but he brings a philosophy he found himself,” he said.

He pointed to the little green book in front of him on the table. “This book is a summary of his thoughts. A hundred questions that he raised on existence, religion, God and the universe. It’s not God’s word, but that of humans,” Sharif continued.

Sharif returned five years ago to Sulaimani from Germany to start work on bringing back the religion to Kurdistan, and printed a selection of thoughts to be used for this task. They are taken from the main book of the faith, Avesta.

“Zardasht was one of the first to have called for worshipping one god, the Ahura Mazda… creator of existence,” he said.

An important aspect for attracting people to the faith is the fact that its founder was a Kurd. Not a lot is known about him, Sharif said, apart from that he was born in Urmia (now Iran) and died aged 77 in a fight. “During his life there was opposition,” Sharif said. “Later we were conquered by Alexander the Great, but we regrouped after that, until the total Islamic conquest.”

Already the Zoroastrians have centers in India and in Kerman in Iran.

“We plan to open a third one in Sulaimani. Seminars were held in different towns across Kurdistan, where many people participated,” Sharif said. “Amongst Kurds there is a great level of enthusiasm to go back to the roots; from various levels in the community; professors, politicians and normal people. Hundreds of thousands are interested and this is increasing.”

Sharif said councils have been established in the big cities, but his group is waiting for the licensing process to finish so it can open a center for people to visit.

Temples will be opened too, or in the vocabulary of the faith “attashga,” which means fire house, as fire is considered holy.

“They should be opened on the original locations, like in Darbandighan, Shaklawa, Soran, Chami Rezan, Qishqapan—the king that was buried there was a Zardashti,” Sharif claimed. “We have history to guide us, and will renovate old places.”

But for the moment the group is focused on culture and heritage. “We don’t want to start with the commitments of the religion, binding people to a certain number of prayers per day,” he said.

Even though reviving this pre-Islamic religion and convincing people to leave Islam might enrage Muslims who consider this to be prohibited, Sharif and his group have decided to work out in the open.

“Kurdistan has passed the era of secret practice. We follow the rules and legislations. If we are supported by law, hopefully it will protect us. All the religions have the right to call for worship,” he said.

Even so he knows it could be dangerous.

“We have made our decision, and this cause demands sacrifices. They can only kill and commit violence,” Sharif said referring to Muslim radicals like ISIS. “They could bring arguments, but they do not have the wisdom, that’s why they resort to killing. We are not afraid of them. Their religion is backward.”

Sharif expects that even though the vast majority of Kurds are Muslim, they can live together in peace. “We believe in peaceful coexistence. There is no violence in the origin of our culture. This is another wisdom by Zardasht, who says: ‘I will not draw my sword in troubled times, but light a candle.’”

Oh, that kind of paganism!

They are Christians, but cannot handle that Jesus was a Jew (if that person has ever existed) and they invent some ridiculous stories, as the following. Prehistoric monotheism and sons of the god etc. Not only the Germans did or do that.

Source
In 1889, Wiligut joined the Schlaraffia, a quasi-masonic lodge. When he left the lodge in 1909, he held the rank of knight and the office of chancellor.[8] His first book, Seyfrieds Runen, was published in 1903 under his full real name with the addition Lobesam. "Seyfrieds Runen" was a collection of poems about the Rabenstein at Znaim on the Austrian-Moravian border.[9] In 1908, followed the Neun Gebote Gots, where Wiligut first claimed to be heir to an ancient tradition of Irminism. Both List and Wiligut were influenced by Friedrich Fischbach's 1900 Die Buchstaben Gutenbergs. Wiligut claimed to be in the tradition of a long line of Germanic mystic teachers, reaching back into prehistoric times.[10] He also claimed to have spiritual powers that allowed him direct access to genetic memories of his ancestors thousands of years previously. From 1908, Wiligut was in contact with the occultist Ordo Novi Templi in Vienna. Wiligut claimed that the Bible had originally been written in Germanic, and testified to an "Irminic" religion – Irminenreligion or Irminism – that contrasted with Wotanism. He claimed to worship a Germanic god "Krist", whom Christianity was supposed later to have appropriated as their own saviour Christ.

According to Wiligut, Germanic culture and history reached back to 228,000 BC. He proposed that at this time, there were three suns, and Earth was inhabited by giants, dwarfs and other mythical creatures. Wiligut claimed that his ancestors, the Adler-Wiligoten, ended a long period of war. By 12,500 BC, the Irminic religion of Krist was revealed and from that time became the religion of all Germanic peoples, until the schismatic adherents of Wotanism gained the upper hand. In 1200 BC, the Wotanists succeeded in destroying the Irminic religious center at Goslar, following which the Irminists erected a new temple at the Externsteine, which was in turn appropriated by the Wotanists in AD 460. Wiligut's own ancestors were supposedly protagonists in this setting: the Wiligotis were Ueiskunings ("Ice kings") descending from a union of Aesir and Vanir. They founded the city of Vilna as the center of their Germanic empire and always remained true to their Irminic faith.[11]

Wiligut's convictions assumed a paranoid trait in the 1920s as he became convinced that his family was the victim of a continuing persecution of Irminists, at present conducted by the Roman Catholic Church, the Jews, and the Freemasons, on which groups he also blamed the defeat of World War I and the downfall of the Habsburg Empire.

HELLENISM: What We Believe, What We Stand For

Source
HELLENISM: What We Believe, What We Stand For

by Κρεσφόντης (Βλ Ρασσιάς) on behalf of Διιπετές,
published on Green Egg journal, issue no 109, Summer 1995

Hellenism (ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΣ ΕΘΝΙΣΜΟΣ) is not simply a Religion and Cosmotheory, it is a certain form of human consciousness and an everyday ethos. It is a strong adversary of the so-called “Monotheism” and this not only due to its being the most well-documented of the ancient polytheistic nature-Religions, but also because it is the cultural product of a civilization much higher -on all levels- than the one which created and spread the worship of a Desert “God” throughout the world.

Hellenism perceives Cosmos (ΚΟΣΜΟΣ, i.e. the Universe) as an ever-existing Being, which not only was not created by some “creator” God out of nothing (ΕΚ ΤΟΥ ΜΗΔΕΝΟΣ), but on the contrary allowed the Gods themselves to be created through its procedures. Hellenism understands Cosmos as ΑΠΕΙΡΟΝ (Apeiron, Infinity) in great, wonderful order and therefore in Hellenic language Cosmos means also jewel (ΚΟΣΜΟΣ, ΚΟΣΜΗΜΑ). Gods were born inside the Cosmos and live inside it -they are part of it. This is our REAL dispute with the so-called “Monotheism;” not the number of Gods (One or Many, Mono- or Poly-) but where the God or Gods stand in relation to the Cosmos. For the “Monotheists” the Cosmos was created by an ever -existing Being outside it (so in this macro-historical level it is nothing more than a mortal creation). For the “Monotheists” Cosmos is a creation that has to obey the laws of its “creator”. For us Hellenes, the eternal Cosmos emerges always from inside of itself (ΑΝΑΔΥΕΤΑΙ ΑΦ’ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ) and is the creator of all Gods, which have to obey its own laws. In the Hellenic Cosmotheory, these laws are :

ΑΝΤΙΠΕΠΟΝΘΟΣ ("Antipeponthόs", untranslatable to English, but roughly meaning "all events influence others" thought without "cause and effect"),

ΝΟΜΟΣ ("Nόmos", the entirey of the universal physical Laws), and

ΑΝΑΓΚΗ (“Anάngee” Need and Fate), which all Gods respect and obey.

Due to the eternal nature of Cosmos itself, the Hellenic perception of ΧΡΟΝΟΣ ("Chrόnos", Time) is not linear (as the followers of Yahweh or the modern "rationalists" declare), nor circular (as many judeo-born occult dogmas teach) through the ΟΥΡΟΒΟΡΟΣ symbol ("Ourobόros”, tail-eater snake), but spiral and leading to ΑΠΕΙΡΟΝ. Through this shape of Time, the annual circles, the lunar circles, the human (and all) life, and the art of Prophecy, are fully interpreted. History is never "repeated", just similar to the point that identical events happen but always under different circumstances. And the death of humans (and of all mortal forms of life) happens as the philosopher ΑΛΚΜΑΙΩΝ (Alkmaion) declared, simply "because it is impossible for the end of the circle to touch the beginning". In other words, because it is impossible for the old to become infants again.

For the Hellenic Tradition, or at least its part not yet influenced by the "moral" ideas brought over from eastern civilizations by some famous philosophers as Pythagoras and Plato, no such thing as the "karma" of the eastern theocrats exists, and no "judges" exist in the skies or elsewhere. All dead become automatically holy and then they are born again until through ΑΡΕΤΗ ("Aretee" Virtue) one day their ΨΥΧΗ (Psyche) escapes from the spiral of Time, thus becoming primitive God, ΔΑΙΜΩΝ ("daimon") a word with a positive meaning for Hellenes, in contrast with Judeo-Christain superstition. ΗΡΑΚΛΗΣ (Hercules) is the ultimate symbol of this struggle of each mortal to make his / her way to Olympus, among the Immortal Ones. Hercules is the ultimate symbol for all Hellenes of the past and the present. No, we do not believe in ΜΕΤΕΜΨΥΧΩΣΙΣ ("Metempsyhosis" Re-incarnation) suffering or prospering in this life to pay for or be rewarded for the bad or good actions of previous lives, but instead simply in ΠΑΛΙΓΓΕΝΕΣΙΑ ("Paligenesίa", Rebirth). This perspective distinguishes us from the theocratic dogmas that terrify their believers with "punishments" e.t.c. We love or hate completely outside the Judeo-Christian or karmic designs and dualisms. No dualism of "Good and Evil" exists in the Immortal Cosmos, nor such things as the miscellaneous "moralities" that all the dualistic dogmas spread among humanity. We become virtuous only because we choose to be such.

Our Gods are many and we understand them as completing the make-up of the Universal Sphere of Cosmos to its maximum potential and whole. Thus, from the ΔΩΔΕΚΑΕΔΡΟΝ ("Dodekάhedron") geometric shape (that fills up the sphere to its maximum) we imagine twelve planes, each one presenting a God inside the Cosmos and we define our Hellenic ΠΑΝΘΕΟΝ (Pάntheon, ΠΑΝ ΤΩΝ ΘΕΩΝ, All The Gods) as ΔΩΔΕΚΑΘΕΟΝ ("Dodekάtheon", Pantheon of The Twelve Gods). The Twelve Gods of ours live inside the Shpere of Cosmos and form its various behaviors. In the same way, the twelve Zodiacs represent twelve "energies" that reach Earth and live inside the humans and animals, thus forming various behaviors as well.

Our Twelve Gods are also called ΟΛΥΜΠΙΟΙ ("Olympioi", The Olympians) not because, as many want to believe, they.. dwell on Mt. Olympus, as the mountains with this name numbered not one but eighteen throughout the Hellenic World. This is just a poetic conception, similar to the one that wants Pan to dwell in the forests of Arcadia. The word "Olympus" comes from the verb ΛΑΜΠΩ ("lάmpein", shining). Our Twelve Gods are the "Shining Ones", and the real "Olympus" is not a geographical but a spiritual place, where the Gods really exist.

Another fact worth noting is that these Twelve Gods are not the same Twelve Gods for all Hellenes as some leave Dionysos out, some leave Hestia, e.t.c., replacing them with others. It is the number that counts, not the names of the Gods which in any case number in the thousands- and we must underline here that Hellenism honors and worships not only conscious forces and energies of Nature (as almost all Pagan religions do) but also abstract Ideas, such as Harmony, Eunomia, Justice, Freedom, Beauty, Luck, e.t.c. For us, the Ideas are alive and have form and consciousness; they are real deities that simply show themselves through the functions of the human mind.

A basic (“for beginners”) form of invocation of the Twelve Olympian Gods, a Pantheon that was worshiped at least since the 16th Century before the Judeo-Christian Era (they are named U-ru-pa-ja-jo in the Linear B inscription of Pylos), and openly until the 9th Century of our times (when the last remains of worship of the ethnic Hellenic Gods were exterminated in Lakonia, under the persecutions by "Saint" Nikon the so-called "Metanoite" i.e. "Repent") is the following:

(The Gods are being invoked in "couples" according to the elements and functions that each "couple" supervises).

* Hestia (the power or denization and of common ethos: all invocations start with her named first: " ΑΦ’ ΕΣΤΙΑΣ")
* The honored God or Goddess of the hellenic lunar month
* Hephaistos - Hestia (alternatively: Hermes - Hestia)
* Ares - Aphrodite
* Apollo - Artemis
* Hermes - Athena (alternatively: Hephaistos - Athena)
* Poseidon - Demeter
* Hera - Zeus

We must emphasize here that the "male" and "female" terms inside the Hellenic Pantheon have nothing to do with the sexism and dualism dwelling in the minds of narrow-minded followers of alien cultures. Our Gods have no genitals. The existence of six Gods and six Goddesses inside the Hellenic Pantheon only serves to declare the total balance of all elements and characteristics inside the Sphere of Cosmos. Understanding the structure, nature and distribution of the Cosmos in this way, Hellenism comes in open opposition to all one-sided and partial dogmas on Cosmos, such as "Monotheism", "Bitheism" e.t.c. Because of this, for centuries now, it has been attacked with all the weapons that the arsenal of its enemies contains, from the burnings and crucifixions by the christianized Romans of Contantinoupolis to the disinformation and slander of the modern servants of the Desert "God" Yahweh (in all their disguises). And it may sound odd, but both we and our enemies know that the power of Hellenism is more than that of a Cosmotheory or of a Religion. It's above all a political and social "how to" theory that means to "haunt" the Every Day Life with its high principles: Dignity, Freedom, Beauty, Honesty, Variety, Tolerance, Candor..

We represent an ethos and a cosmotheory, both deeply admirable, for they never allowed the existence of priestly castes, unquestioning obedience, fear or guilt (Hellenism knows nothing about the word "sin"), dogma, missions, or "sacred" books. We are fighting for the Hellenic Dignity in a country totally dominated by an alien culture and cosmotheory, inside a world which is totally dominated by an alien culture and cosmotheory. We speak a language in which most of its deep meanings are impossible to translate into the widely spoken languages of today, a language that almost nobody can understand (nobody outside Greece can read our journal and books). From a strictly "strategic" perspective, we appear almost insane or, at least, "defeated in advance". But we know that we tread the correct path and that the Gods support us. Just by existing we win !

We are the revenge of the Ancient Psyche. We call into question almost every thought and act of this dying world enslaved to the Desert "God" Yahweh, almost every single behavior. And we are in full solidarity with all groups and movements all around the Globe, which work for the restoration of their traditional / indigenous ethos and religions, and also with all the others which fight the multi-faceted war for Freedom, Tolerance, Respect for Nature and Direct Democracy in all levels of Every Day Life.

RECLAIMING THE TRUE EUROPEAN IDENTITY

RECLAIMING THE TRUE EUROPEAN IDENTITY

Speech at the «2014» European Congress of Ethnic Religions (ECER), at the Lithuanian Parliament (Lietuvos Respublikos Seimas), in Vilnius, Lithuania on July the 9th «2014»

Europe is a continent that for centuries has given birth to many notable cultures, ethnic traditions and civilizations, the common characteristics of whom were the dignity and self-determination of the human being, the quest for virtue and for the truth, reverence for the sacred, respect towards nature, the lifelong affirmation one’s personal worth and the esteem that comes with it, as well as the ideal of freedom.

Unfortunately, this tapestry of diverse yet similar and complementary polytheistic cultures, ethnic traditions and civilizations, ceased to exist when an eastern, strange, expansive and intolerant religion moved in forcefully and demanded the total disappearance of everything that people knew, held as sacred and preserved as social and spiritual values. What followed this unprecedented invasion in Europe, is more or less well known. Absolute cultural and cognitive collapse, barbarity, monotheism, superstition, hatred for everything that existed previously, political autocracy and an insane, all invasive theocracy, moral decline, abasement, genocide and ethnocide, and of course the flames. Flames that sprang and consumed unlucky human beings, masterpieces of art and literature, everything that was directly or indirectly representing the old “pagan” world that the new rulers craved to exterminate.

The worst consequence of all these calamities was the destruction of the self-awareness of the polytheistic “ethne” of Europe and the gradual erasure of their ethnic memory. Numerous generations of unlucky people spent all their lives with no real notion of identity, or who their ancestors were and how they viewed themselves, unaware of the history of the land they occupied. They had even forgotten the term “patris” (patria, fatherland), and for many centuries, the continent witnessed her children living completely alienated from her soul, made to believe that they had been “civilized” due to the bloody swords of Constantine, Charlemagne and other monotheist slaughterers, and praising the darkness as light. They even went as far as to export their barbarity and intolerance, first in the form of bloodthirsty crusades towards the East, and, later, in the form of bloodthirsty “explorations” to the, according to their own vocabulary, “new worlds”.

Glimpses of the lost light of the pre- Christian times, came back to our beloved Europe only in the last centuries, and only through a long and painful sequence of reinstatements, revivals, revolutions, movements of enlightenment and, of course, through the gradual re-acquirement of the abandoned genuine identities by some intellectual vanguards of the various European “ethne”. Since the 19th century of the chronology of the arrogant religion who dared to bisect the human History itself, most of the people of Europe are aware that they are not a rootless and amorphous human mass under the Cross or the Koran, but the descendants of historically existent and, most of them, glorious and advanced ancient “ethne”.

Some of these Europeans though, including us, have developed a deeper insight on the subject. All who perceive the flow of the time as circular and not linear, know quite well that History has no final destination but it simply follows the trends and tensions created inside her by the historical subjects at every single turn of the wheel of Eternity. And they also do know, quite well, that for someone to win the title of the “historical subject”, they must be able to have their proposals and ideas alive and attractive on the table, each time humanity is called to choose its next course inside the infinite fractal of History.

For us, each single actuality is a link. Every single moment revives the entire past and comprises the dynamics of the entire future. Seeing things in such a way, we, the representatives of the native, ethnic, indigenous, ancient but still alive Traditions and Religions of Europe, work hard to turn the issue of our complementary collective identities from a spiritual privilege of an enlightened vanguard, into a proud awareness and identification of all the Europeans, in front of this admirable mosaic of the genuine cultures, ethnic traditions and civilizations of their ancestors. We reclaim the European identity. We reclaim our true value systems and our true ways. Our purpose is clear, to restore the once defeated but not extinct, cultures of joy, freedom, polytheism, dignity, piety and uprightness, and, being a Hellene, please let me ad, of reason, humanism, eunomia and polyarchy.

May God Apollo’s light always shines on you.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Pyrrhus had little time to mourn, as he was immediately offered an opportunity to intervene in a civic dispute in Argos. Since Antigonus Gonatas was approaching too, he hastened to enter the city with his army by stealth, only to find the place crowded with hostile troops. During the confused battle in the narrow city streets, Pyrrhus was trapped. While he was fighting an Argive soldier, the soldier's old mother, who was watching from a rooftop, threw a tile which knocked him from his horse and broke part of his spine, paralyzing him. Whether he was alive or not after the blow is dubious, but his death was assured when a Macedonian soldier named Zopyrus, though frightened by the look on the face of the unconscious king, hesitantly and ineptly beheaded his motionless body.

A Definition of Polytheism

Source

The word "Polytheism" is derived from the Greek words "poly" (many) and "theos" (God) and means "worship of many Gods". Polytheism is therefore defined as a belief in the existence of many Gods. It is the idea that there are many divine powers. It is the idea that divinity ultimately resides in many separate entities or beings. There are many Gods and Goddesses. The Gods are the greatest and most powerful beings. They are wise and just. They are immortal. They are worthy of respect and adoration. The Gods have many forms and they can reveal themselves in many ways. They are both immanent and transcendent. They are present in the elements and forms of Being. They are manifest in the forces of Nature, in matter and energy, but they are also transcendent beings not bound by any material form. The Gods can reveal themselves within the human or other beings, as plants or animals, or as material objects. There are no limits of form or being upon the Gods an Goddesses. They are what they choose to be. Divinity is multiple and various, both in appearance and in reality. No single God or Goddess hides behind all the multitude of divine forms. The Gods and Goddesses are objectively real entities whose existence is not dependent upon the beliefs or actions of lesser beings. They are not archetypes. They are not imaginary symbols of human activity or of the human mind. They are not symbolic representations of natural events and processes. The Gods and Goddesses are real. They exist. Their wisdom and power give shape to this World, to this certain form of Cosmos. Their beauty and grace will last forever. The Gods and Goddesses are free and independent beings. They are equally divine. They are not controlled by any other entity or power. The Gods and Goddesses are pleased when lesser beings FREELY acknowledge their existence and offer them respect and worship. They do not though need or require this acknowledgment. The all powerful Gods and Goddesses need nothing. They simply form whatever they desire. (Scroll Of Oplontis, 1991)

Born 1950, judicial age over 110!

The Greek Courts decided that the present Minister for Foreign Affairs was founding member of KKE, the Greek Communist Party, founded in 1924 with that name and as SEKE in 1918. Maybe he was a founding member of the Greek Communist Youth KNE founded in 1968, before he turned 18, that is not impossible.

Tertullian: "Credo quia absurdum"

«Crucifixus est Dei Filius, non pudet, quia pudendum est;et mortuus est Dei Filius, prorsus credibile est, quia ineptum est;et sepultus resurrexit, certum est, quia impossibile.— (De Carne Christi V, 4)
"The Son of God was crucified: there is no shame, because it is shameful. And the Son of God died: it is by all means to be believed, because it is absurd. And, buried, He rose again: it is certain, because impossible."»

Heroes were part of the Ancient Greek Comedy

The Greek Orthodox fundamentalists have a problem admitting that Christianity has Judean roots, so they keep talking nonsense about the Hellenic Religion. They seem to have a lot of time and money, so they spread their nonsense everywhere. This nonsense is supported by the supposed elites of the Greek State, like doctors, lawyers, judges, bankers, directors, army and police officers.
Christian Orthodoxy has taken shape by the Byzantine Emperors and that is a fact. They summoned Synods where theological matters were discussed and those who proved to be a minority were persecuted. Fundamentalists just speak about a 1% of 'Dominators', a word used by Greek Anarchists, who controlled the ancient Hellenic world and 99% were hero, ancestor and fatherland worshippers as they say. In the Land of Democracy and self organising City-States, they speak about Dominators.
A fact presented as a proof for their assumptions is that because Gods had roles in Comedy, they were mocked. Comedies were named after Heroes as well so if Gods were ridiculed, than Heroes were ridiculed as well. Common people were unknown, so were their ancestors. I don't know what they mean by Fatherland, the soil? Comedies did ridicule what was happening in the city, that was their fatherland.
Mosted comedies haven't survived and we know only titles and some fragments, they didn't survive the so Hellenic Byzantine Empire. Batraxomyomachia, the war between frogs and mice is a parody of the Iliad and this text has survived. Achilles, Ajax, Odysseus, Diomedes were all heroes.

Plato (comic poet)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plato (also Plato Comicus; Ancient Greek: Πλάτων Κωμικός) was an Athenian comic poet and contemporary of Aristophanes. None of his plays survive intact, but the titles of thirty of them are known, including a Hyperbolus (c. 420-416 BC), Victories (after 421), Cleophon (in 405), and Phaon (probably in 391). The titles suggest that his themes were often political. In 410 BC, one of his plays took first prize at the City Dionysia.

Phaon included a scene (quoted in the Deipnosophistae of Athenaeus) in which a character sits down to study a poem about gastronomy (in fact mostly about aphrodisiacs) and reads some of it aloud. The poem is in hexameters, and therefore sounds like a lampoon of the work of Archestratus, although the speaker calls it "a book by Philoxenus", meaning either the poet Philoxenus of Cythera, the glutton Philoxenus of Leucas, or both indiscriminately.

Surviving titles and fragments

Of Plato the comic poet's plays, only the following thirty titles, along with 292 associated fragments, survive.

Monk Damaskenos writes to the Greek Prime Minister

A monk from the "Holy Mountain" of Athos wrote a letter to the Greek Prime Minister. What is interesting, is how the real Christians still think, if this is the right word to use. They still believe that Human Rights are a curse and inspired by the Devil.
Although Orthodox Christians confess that the best solution for the Church of the East was the subjugation to the Ottomans, they claim the rescue of Hellenism, however they confess they approve only of the transmuted one as they call it themselves, and as if they played an active role in the Greek Revolution, which cannot be true of course.
He salutes the Prime Minister as His Excellency.
He says that it was a mistake for Greece to enter the EEC and remain in the EU and in the Eurozone, because of the sell and the spiritual, cultural and economical alteration. What he doesn't say is how much did the Church itsself profit from the EEC, for example the subsidisation of its so called charity work?
He writes about Hellenism all the time, although this word is synonym with Paganism. He writes as if the Greek Orthodox Church saved the Hellenic Civilisation, instead of destroying it, however later he will speak about the transmuted Hellenism.
Then he writes that Tsipras is the first leader after Julian who isn't a Christian and he should know how the Emperor endet. The word 'end' by the way is linked to some news about rates Greeks have to pay. Four hundred years of Ottoman rule, surely he doesn't include the Sultans as leaders? Of course not, the leaders were the Patriarchs of Constantinople. They had power under the Ottoman rule like never before. The Christian Emperors intervened in all matters, the Sultans just wanted the taxes and let the Patriarchs rule over the 'Romans' the Greek Orthodox, including Romanians, Arabs, Serbs, Bulgarians, 'Macedonians', Turks(Gagauz), Albanians and Georgians.
According to him the Greek Prime Minister didn't solve the economical problems, because of his pride against JHWH. He doesn't say, why all the predecessors failed as well. Between Julian and Tsipras they all should have been superb rulers, shouldn't they? The first Citizen of Greece, the President of the Republic is a very devout Christian, doesn't that help a little?
The Prime Minister should have sacrificed himself for his ideals. Which ones, the atheistic and bolshevistic? How should have he sacrificed himself? As a Prime Minister he won't be affected. Maybe he thinks he should have resigned and let an ultra Christian in his place, then it would be raining euros, dollars and pounds. This is the very problem of the Greek people, they expect a Messiah with supernatural powers and they will keep voting, until they find one. Well King Midas is dead and I have never heard of another one.
Joining the EEC was the biggest mistake of the New Hellenism. He writes new with small, but later he will write about the transmutation of Hellenism to New Hellenism or better New Romanity.
It was a mistake, because even the Ancients weren't Atheists and he quotes Plutarch. Plutarch however preferred atheists to superstitious. The first missed the beauty of the World, but the latter are dangerous.
Then he mentions the Transmutation of Hellenism to Orthodoxy. What was left was superficially Hellenic.
The State, the Roman Empire, becomes Christian. No Philosophy, no Art, no Science, no Sports.
The Republic is a Christian Republic and the West since Charlemagne till today envies it. The East Roman Empire ceased to exist since 1453, I don't know what the West should be jealous about...
The Franks captured Constantinople in 1204 and led to the dissolution of the Empire. He mentions the Battle of Manzikert, where the Seljuq Turks defeated the Byzantines in 1071, probably he thinks that the Empire would have recovered.
Then by writing that the Ottomans involuntarily saved Hellenism, the Transmuted One, from the absorption  by the West, he reveals that the Church cannot be looked upon as a Saviour for Hellenism, because the Transmuted Hellenism thrived under Ottoman Rule. It was Real Hellenism which suffered. More important is that the Church was against a Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Rule. Many revolutionaries appeared as Christians for reasons of diplomacy, when dealing with the Foreign Powers.
The Catholic Church was bad, the Renaissance superficial and atheistic. Did he prefer a total Renaissance, a religious, the polytheistic one, as well?
Then came the Protestants, then the Edict of Nantes, which separated religious from civil unity. The Europeans and their institutions are corrupt. Are the schismatic Catholics, as he calls them, good or not?
His and the Greek Church's problems with the EU are that adultery stopped being penalised, civil wedding and abortions.
That what he calls pseudoreligions are permitted to exist for the first time since Constantine the Roman Emperor. He appeals to the Constitution, although the Constitution doesn't say other religions are forbidden. He probably doesn't know that the Constitution is easy to find in the Internet, or the last one he read is that of the Dictatorship. He thinks that Constitution is something above human rights. The Constitutions says that the Church of Greece has to follow that of Constantinople, but many monks criticise the Patriarch, because he has contact to other religions.
He wants Greece to continue its greek speaking Byzantine civilisation, not the true Hellenic one.
Now, that homosexual weddings are permitted, he is afraid that a punishment will arrive as in Sodom and Gomorrha. However I don't think they married according to the myth and anyway he lives in Athos and nothing has happened to the place yet.

He sees diversity as an illusion. He thinks, that instead all should be christianised; he calls it freeing from demons and love for man; the same love shown by crusaders, Inquisition etc. He calls Europe's peace, pseudopeace. Probably peace for him is butchering in the name of Christ. True freedom and true peace exists under the Church as in Medieval times.
He thinks that Greece's problem lies that we have supermarkets instead of groceries, that foreigners did the unskilled work, and that some people gave up the cultivation of olive trees for other plants. The only thing that Greece is exporting sufficiently is olive oil, but the monk doesn't know that. He talks about the sale of State property like any Communist.
Than he wants to inform the Prime Minister about the causes of the fall of the Byzantine Empire for some reason. He complains about the lack of Christian Values in the Empire. He doesn't say which are the values and how come when all the Emperors were devout Christians. All were Christians and if not they were mutilated and executed. He says the Emperors were incompetent; didn't JHWH help them, they were so pious, what does JHWH expect more? The bad Franks, since Charlemagne. The Italian States, because they were free to trade, the taxes upon Syria, Palestine and Egypt which convinced the inhabitants become Muslim, the mercenaries and a couple of herecies. The problem with Syria, Palestine and Egypt was older and it began by the disintegration of the Roman Empire. Even as pagans the Syrians tried to form a new State. That is why there were some Christian enclaves there, thats why Constantine tried to form a new Rome and new Romans, but forming a new nation the Christian nation proved to be a bad idea. He forgets that the Church always became large amounts of wealth. Empire means many nations and after abolishing their ethnicity, people didn't have anything to fight for. There were half a million monks sitting idle in the monasteries by the time of the fifteenth century and none to defend Constantinople.
He then says that the Church prevented the islamisation of the Greek people. Islam respects Christianity and Judaism, and the Sultan wanted the taxes. One cannot see something as a salvation and a threat the same time.
He talks about the Greek revolutionaries which freed Greece and appeals to their beliefs. He admits indirectly, that the Church didn't wish a modern Hellenic State or a revolution of any kind, because it would be inspired by the godless in their opinion West and French Revolution in particular. The revolutionaries weren't Christians, but were inspired by Greeks living abroad who were influenced by the Enlightment and the French Revolution. However, it was the time of the Holy Alliance, so they had to pretend they were Christians of a noble descent trying to be freed by a culturless Muslim tyrann and that inspired a philhellenic movement in Europe. The Revolutionaries called themselves Hellenes and the noncombatant Greeks Romans.
He further sees as compulsory for members of the Parliament and Goverment to take an oath to Christianity, although that hasn't helped very much.
A relic of the Dark Ages, these monks are seen as the mouths of JHWH, although they are mostly illiterate. They learn some texts by heart as Communist do as well, so many people think they have read a lot. Talking against their nonsense is considered blasphemy and treason.

The Monotheistic Feeling

How many feel that the man in the photo is not Adam, but themselves?

Furby is the Antichrist!

What the Greek Orthodox priest is saying can be summarised as follows:
"Furby has a whole Devil inside him. If children come in touch him they will be possessed. There is a whole Hell in that toy. They are forty million furbies. There is prostitution in him, because he will tell the children to do this and that. It speaks and repeats whatever it hears."
I don't know if the priest believed the rumour that furbies record and repeat whatever they hear, but surely this is a very low level speech. By the way he calls his flock, sheep using the modern Greek word. He cannot claim he speaks the words of a god.

And although it was in Greek, now no one can hear anything so here is the same video as presented by a greek comedy show.

Theocrats in panic against Julian the Crowned Philosopher

On the 3rd of October this year, there was a presentation of the Theology on Nations and Ethnarch Gods of Julian the Crowned Philosopher. Text and video here.

One week later it was published in the internet, facebook and sites. There is a site, I don't how formal which wants to serve as a portal for Greek education. Two weeks after the speech there was an older article which made its way to the portal. First published for a magazine of the Church on 14 December 2013, a theologian posted it on his blog on the 17th of October 2015 and was automatically published on the mentioned portal.

The article is full of false information, which leads to contradictions. It wants to prove that the Greek Church saved the Greek language, otherwise in Greece a Roman would have prevailed. For example it claims that Diocletian had forbidden the use of the Greek language in 284 CE, that three quarters or two thirds of the Greeks who were already Christians maintained the Greek language, because the Bible was written in it, but the Greek "idolaters" learned Latin in order to have a career. So the pagan Romans tolerated Greek, even the non Roman Emperors before Diocletian did, but the Christian non Greek Emperors did not even though the Bible was in Greek. Herakleios who made Greek an official language in 610 CE was an Armenian, why did he do the opposite thing?

Even Christian Priests admit that Christians were about 5% at the time of Constantine and his sons.

I have never read an article where a person is called a psychopath all the time instead of his name. One will talk about Nero, Caligula, Hitler, Stalin and use their names despite one's feelings or opinion, but not the author about Julian.

Didn't they have anything better to present?

Here is an edict of Diocletian in 301 CE in Greek and Latin.

About the Languages of the Roman Empire here.

The article I am writing about is here and then here.

And he is a teacher...

So we have a teacher who teaches Greek and Ancient Greek at secondary level, saying that we "Newidolaters"  became Heathens, because we are attracted by the nudity of the sculptures and by mythology. Then he informs us, only the Gods could have much sex, not the humans.
Then instead of using the science of Philology, he speaks as a Christian Apologet of the first centuries. He speaks of the Sibyls using the Sibylline Oracles instead of the Sibylline Books, although he must know that the Oracles where written by Jews and Christians. The Saviour of Prometheus is Heracles and not Jesus Christ. His interpretation of Mythology is that of illiterate monks.
So even if pupils don't attend the lesson of Religion, there are teachers of Greek who fill in the gap.

The Patriarch of Antioch points out the difference!

The Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch said that they as Patriarchate of Antioch and as Syria and Lebanon are fond of the Hellenic people and have a good relationship with the Greek state and Church. He added that they as well are Romioi, one family, one folk.

So Arabs and Greek are both Romioi (Romans), because they belong to the Eastern Church. So Hellenism and Romanity is not the same thing.

Useless and hypocritical

Papafeio is an orphanage in Greece, named after the donator who wanted that Greek Orthodox male orphans would serve an apprenticeship, so they could earn a living as adults without becoming criminals. The head of the orphanage would be the Bishop of Thessaloniki.
2012 a seven year old boy was raped by a thirteen year old. The victim informed the following morning the social worker of the establishment, she informed her superiors and nothing happened. They did ask the attorney, who had sent the violator to the establishment, to take him back because he had a delinquent behaviour and that is all. The boy had to raped twice again, be brought to a hospital and than people where obliged to do something.
The bishop said that everything is perfect with the establishment, the minors are sometimes very difficult.
It looks as if no one can do a job right and the only thing they do is take the money from the state for their "superb" work.
If the children are orphans one way or the other, the personnel should be like fathers and mothers to them. The bishop did not hire the adequate persons to do the job.

The Greek Church and Language

The Archbishop of Greece playacted as the defender of the Greek language. However Christianity was never interested in the Greek language, because Christians didn't feel as a part of the classical world. They used the common Greek of that time and not Attic or the Epic. The Christian Emperors used Latin as their official language, although in the East Greek was spoken.
The Church did not educate the people in anything language included. Whereas the Germanic and Celtic nations had to give up their Runic and Ogham scriptures in favour of the Latin one, for the Slavs a special alphabet was made, in order to avoid that the Slavs used the Greek one.
Even the very language was called Romaic and not Hellenic until some decades ago. The defence of the language was the denial of translating the Bible into modern Greek. Now every official translation of the Bible has to be authorised by the Church in Greece and Turkey and that is stated in the Greek Constitution.
So the so called defence of the language, is the right of the Church to be unintelligible to the common people.

Greek Archbishop calls for Christian Orthodox Jihad against the West

After this incident, Archbishop Hieronymus gave a speech to the other priests and talked about enemies who are "within the walls". He named Europeans ironically "our friends the Europeans" and the Greeks who want Greece to become like any western European Country "our friends here". He says that both want to take advantage of the horrible economic situation in Greece and will try by all means to alter the Greek society, beginning with the school education. It is tragic, said he, that not only some foreigners far and away want this, but also enemies from within. "We can see it and scent it".
Churchgoers believe that those who are not baptised in the orthodox way, stink.
He said that there are commitments and plans, which are vividly whispered, to alter the society and foremost to the underestimation of their history and traditions, to the 'entfundamenting' of family, to the infliction of perversity, to the further degradation of the language and the contumely of the many centuries old civilisation, their fatherland, their 'holies' and 'sacred', and by that case the 'Hierarchy' (the celibates), the clergy and the folk will become bulwarks and fortresses.
Than he quoted a person who lived at the time of the Greek Revolution of 1821 and is known only due to his memoirs. "Frankia doesn't want us with that dress the orthodox". Frankia is the West, but only fanatics use this word.
Having said all these he then said that the political parties should converse with the Church honestly and reliably and quit 'bracketations' and ideologies and Church and State should take care of people's problems with consistency, calmness and perseverance. He then said that the Church will never be trapped into letting its sanctifying work be separated from the philanthropic one.

So the Archbishop feels he is superior to any institution and can intimidate the Government, the House of Commons, everybody. He still thinks with the terms of the Great Schism of the 11th century. He dreams of a society which until the abolition of the latest dictatorship, Greece was terrorised by the State and the Church, the latest version being the priest and the policeman.
He talks about history although people in Greece, until the 20th century, believed that the 'Ellenedes' were other people who lived in Greece before the arrival of Christ and Mary and were killed by God and some thought that their descendants were the 'mylords' who excavated the ancient Greek monuments and never crossed themselves. He talks about traditions although the Church destroys real traditions and then lets people think falsely that their habits are Christian Tradition, although Christian Tradition has to do with Church Books like the other Gospels.
He talks about family, although the priests turn parents against children, wife against man and brother against sister, if somebody is not a churchgoer.
He talks about perversity and it would be interesting what he means by that; maybe homosexuality, although it is said that the higher ranks are up to 90% homosexuals? There are continuously scandals about child abuse and sexual harassment in Greece as well as in USA.
He talks about centuries old civilisation and probably he dates from the Great Schism of  the 11th century, because he doesn't use the word millennia, a word broadly used in Greece.
He speaks about fatherland, although in the Christian Orthodox Tradition as formulated by Cosmas the Aetolian and repeated by all ranks of clergy, fatherlands are false and the true fatherland is the kingdom of Yahweh. He talks about fortresses and bulwarks, but not against what. He quotes a man who is called a general, but never did anything important and he praised only because he used the demotic language.
He then said that they should abolish the ideas of democracy, freedom and the ideas established by the French Revolution and Church and State should govern together probably with a Constitution similar to that of Iran, or anyway it will be interpreted this way.
The Church will continue to control every aspect of life, that is meant by sanctification and become a lot of money from the individuals and take a whole lot of money from the State, that is meant by philanthropy. The only philanthropy of the Greek Church are the meals which are soups made of what is donated by churchgoing shop owners, usually rice or noodles and the people cooking them and organising them, do it for free or in order to save their souls.
Nobody needs the Church. It is the duty of the state to take care of its citizens.

Orthodox Tradition by Monks and by People

Common Greeks come in contact with religion by their parents. They learn to worship God, Jesus and Mary. They teach them to "love Mary" and Jesus and God. They go to Church to light up a candle and they get baptised and have a godfather who gives them clothes and a candle at Easter. They call it Orthodox Tradition.
Monks and priests and theologians, when they talk about Orthodox Tradition they mean the Fathers of the Church, the various Monks that have produced literature and not the common people.
Of course there is no Orthodox Tradition. What the Greeks think as tradition is a totally mutilated one.
The Hellenes wouldn't convert to the State Religion of Christianity even after 150 and 200 years it was made compulsory by Theodosius A. The fathers pretended to be Christians and the wifes and children remained Hellenes. The problem was solved by inventing the institution of the godfathers. A christian priest or officer would select a name for the children, baptise them and be responsible for their christian upbringing.
The Hellenes would not stop visiting the temples, so they were modified to churches and the saint honoured depended to which God the temple was formely dedicated. To stop them from offering flowers and fruits on the Altar Stone, they were lured to light up candles at the candlelabrum at the entrance, away from the Altar Stone, there were the not fully integrated stay. In their houses they burn oil candles in the corners, instead of the big fire in the middle where the family and the servants would gather and eat. However they were never successful incorporating Carnival, although they still try.

Plato and the other Christian or Neoatheist philosophers!

Presocratics, Socrates, Plato, Aristoteles, the Sophists, Epicurus and all the others were raised with Homer and Hesiod and Orpheus and Mousaios and many other poets. Heresy then had the meaning of opinion and through urbanisation some people had gained new aspects of life and consequently about religion as well. Those who remained in the more traditional ways of life, maintained the traditional aspects. As there are different opinions about politics, the philosophers had different opinions from each other and the traditional poets about religion, but they all attended the same festivals. They were all participants of one way of thinking. Monotheists and all modern ideologies are part of the other way of thinking.

Day and Night

Night and Day

In many mythologies is said that the Ancients didn't associate day and night with solar light. The same is by the way with the Old Testament, but I will take this book out of my consideration. Of course the Ancients saw that it was day when they saw the sun in the sky and night when he wasn't. They had the habit of using and interpreting things of higher intellectual level with symbols from the everyday life. So there is not only a day and night in our material world but also in the higher worlds. One can see life as a day which came out of a night, that means we don't see where it came from. So Day being the daughter of the Night makes more sense as the following stage of a previous one. The same with Knowledge; one is in the Dark and then slowly comes Enlightment.

Presocratic Philosophy

Hesiod and Homer and other poets spoke about the Gods. The Presocratics and the Ancient Philosophers searched from what they as well as the whole, are made off. It is wrong to forget that Hesiod uses the means of poetry and to interpret his poems as if they were mere reports. That humans don't know everything about nature, doesn't mean that something is supranatural. In order to understand the ancient way of thinking, which is totally different from the modern monotheistic one, one has to consult the last of the Ancients the Neoplatonists. They were the first who were confronted with the other way of thinking, the one which defined itsself "the upside down". They explained logically what the Ancients perceived.

The Church of the Greek island Tenos melts the oblations and sells the gold!

Every summer Orthodox Christians offer oblations to Mary the mother of Jesus-Emmanuel. Now it has been revealed that the jewellery is sent to Turkey, melted to bars and sold for cash.

In Ancient Greece travellers could see the precious oblations offered to the Gods centuries after. Petty offerings made of wood or clay were buried in the backyard of the temples, instead of selling them over and over again.
