The Greek Church just polarises for a few attendants more

The Greek Church announced that it is a provocation from  the followers of the Hellenic Ethnic Religion to celebrate the Summer Solstice the same day when Christians celebrate one of their festivals. Summer Solstice is on Monday the 20th of June 2016 CE and the followers of the Hellenic Ethnic Religion want to celebrate it a day before, on the 19th of June. As Hellenic festivals aren't holidays, all festivals are celebrated on Sundays.
If one isn't a Christian, one doesn't know their festivals, unless they are holidays. Not their business, the one or the other way. However, the Greek Church wants to present it as a mere provocation.
Now, all fanatics visit the facebook page of these  people and swear like 5 year old infants.
Similar actions show that the Church is loosing followers, like everywhere in Europe, and they try to attract people by polarising. To make some lazy Christians go to Church.

By the way here is an interesting parallel.

The Talmud refers to Shavuot as Atzeret (Hebrew: עצרת, literally, "refraining" or "holding back"), referring to the prohibition against work on this holiday and to the conclusion of the holiday and season of Passover. Since Shavuot occurs 49 days after the first day of Passover (i.e. the 50th day, including Passover itself), Hellenistic Jews gave it the name Pentecost (πεντηκοστή, "fiftieth day").

According to Jewish tradition, Pentecost commemorates God's giving of the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, 49 days after the Exodus. The Talmud derives this from a calculation based on Biblical texts.
